A. Letterkenny people are very friendly and accommodating. If you even left it until the last day and asked two strangers in the street you'd be sorted.Money wouldn't even enter in to it.Contact Highland radio nearer the time and they'll give you air space to advertise for witnesses and chances are you'll be inundated.Good luck to you and all the best from Donegal. If it's a registry wedding the registrar would sort you out with two witnesses anyway.Seriously chill,it won't be a problem.

Q. will come in the "POWER" of Elijah and Moses? Found in Rev. 11. Does this mean only that God is behind their power? Also, are these two Moses and Elijah or just resemble them?

A. It does not say anything about Moses and Elijah in Revelation 11 (or anywhere else in Revelation). The two witnesses are un-named, but likely meant for us to look back to the prophecy of Zechariah 4:11-14: 11 Then I answered and said to him, "What are these two olive trees-at the right of the lampstand and at its left?" 12 And I further answered and said to him, "What are these two olive branches that drip into the receptacles of the two gold pipes from which the golden oil drains?" 13 Then he answered me and said, "Do you not know what these are?" And I said, "No, my lord." 14 So he said, "These are the two anointed ones, who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth." The two annointed ones there are the king and the priest, Joshua… [cont.]

A. The leading candidates for the two witnesses are Moses and Elijah, or maybe Enoch. None of those guys are exactly "spring chickens" since they walked the earth a long, long time ago. Besides, people will recognize them only by their power and their message ... not by their appearance.

A. Many do think that Elijah returned in the form of John. We do know that even in the womb, John was aware of Jesus and who He was. Many scholars also believe that the two witnesses in Revelation will be Elijah and Moses. It is speculation though. No one on earth knows for sure.

A. Great question. There are three candidates normally quoted for the office of witness. 1. Moses. 2. Elijah. 3. Enoch. Most scholars tend to say Moses and Elijah, because the miracles they perform coincide with the Miracles they performed in the Old Testament. Enoch was before the Flood and was not a Jew so this might rule him out. They probably represent the Law and the Prophets. Elijah also said he would return before the great and terrible day of the Lord. Some believe this was fulfilled in John the Baptist. It is difficult to be dogmatic about their identity, and it is a distinct possibility that they will be new individuals. The Olive tree is a symbol of Israel and Olive oil of the Holy Spirit. The Lamp stand also was a symbol of… [cont.]

The two witnesses from the revelations will wear sackcloth, what is sackcloth, and where can i get some?
Q. what kind of clothing is it sackcloth?
Asked by samuel a - Tue Mar 31 04:42:17 2009 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. In those times of the Bible sackcloth often symbolized mourning. Wearing it was a sign that the person had been brought low in sorrow or distress. Sackcloth was associated with the mournful messages of doom or grief that God s prophets had to proclaim. The wearing of sackcloth could mean humility or repentance in view of divine warning. The sackcloth worn by the two witnesses appears to indicate their humble endurance in announcing Jehovah s judgments. They were witnesses proclaiming his day of vengeance that would bring mourning also to the nations. Revelation 11:3 And I will cause my two witnesses to prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days dressed in sackcloth.

What do you think of some who are saying the *Two Witnesses* will appear in 2008?
Q. Possible? Revelation 11:6 Though their true identity will not be known until their arrival, the Two Witnesses have the same powers demonstrated by Moses and Elijah. Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration representing the summation of the Law and the Prophets, respectively. Moses turned the waters of Egypt into blood and called down multiple plagues. Elijah withheld rain from Israel. After the Church Age of Grace, God will manifest the Law and the Prophets once again. In the Old Testament, the Law and the Prophets spoke mainly to Israel ... Here, they will speak to the entire Earth: They have discovered the entire Chronology of most of the events in the bible up to and including and beyond the date of… [cont.]

Q. teh great tribulation starts ? the temple rebuilt etc ... can you do a timeline of the events ? thanks nice day
Asked by what s happening here - Thu Sep 11 07:16:55 2008 - - 7 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The 2 witnesses or the 2 Prophets will appear on the scene as the gentile grace age ends, & they will appear 3 1/2 yrs prior to the great tribulation, in fact their prophecies will bring about the great tribulation, But the great tribulation will not begin until the anti-christ have those 2 prophets killed, & then the anti-christ will set himself up in the temple to be worship as God. So Actually the 2 Prophets will have 3 1/2 yrs of prophecy or 1260 days, & then the anti-christ will have 1260 days of 3 1/2 yrs of great tribulation. So those 2 Prophets will appear on the scene at the beginning of Daniel's 70th week.

Asked by David G - Tue Nov 6 18:50:07 2007 - - 22 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Profound question...we'll never know the answer until the end of days. The identity of these two witnesses has been debated for centuries. Some have said that they represent Elijah and Enoch because these are the only two men recorded in the Bible who did not die, having been taken up to heaven. And since Hebrews 9:27 says that "it is appointed for men to die once," they must return to earth to die. Others have identified them as Elijah and Moses. God promised to send Elijah the prophet "before the coming of the great and terrible day of the LORD" (Mal. 4:5), which we know begins after the midpoint of Daniel's 70th Week. And it is interesting to note that Elijah and Moses appeared together with Jesus on the mount of transfiguration. In… [cont.]

They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. 3And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth." 4These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. 5If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. 6These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and… [cont.]

A. The Bible uses the term parousia 24 times and the term is usually associated with the return of Christ. 'Thayer's Lexicon' gives a definition of the first meaning as presence, and includes this information: "In the N.T. especially of the advent, i.e., the future, visible, return from heaven of Jesus, the Messiah, to raise the dead, hold the last judgment, and set up formally and gloriously the kingdom of God." Bauer's lexicon says, "of Christ, and nearly always of his Messianic Advent in glory to judge the world at the end of this age." The Bible of course is able to shed light on this term and help us to better understand the meaning of the term at 2 Corinthians 10:10, where the Apostle Paul uses parousia to describe his being with… [cont.]

The Two Witnesses,in the Bible..?
Q. Do you think that the Two Witnesses might be the Old and New Testament? The Bible is God's Witness. The Two Witnesses Revelation11:3 The two witnesses bring to mind Moses and Elijah, who were able to turn the waters into blood(v.6 In Exodus 7:17), call fire that devours their enemies(v.5; see 2Kings1:10) and shut up the sky so that it will not rain(v.6 in 1 Kings 17:1) Moses and Elijah may represent the Law and prophecy, both of which give testimony to Christ (Matt,17:2-3). The Hebrew people held that at least two witnesses were needed to establish the truth of legal testimony(Det. 19:15; John 8:17). Thank you all for answering. May the Lord Bless you with knowledge and wisdom. blessings to you !!!
