Nuns are the 'brides of christ' and wear a wedding ring because they're married to Jesus. How about priests?
Q. I don't think they'd be the grooms of christ because gay marriage isn't allowed in the catholic church. Nuns are called the brides of christ, but how about the men?

A. A priest is married to Christ's Church. The take a vow to uphold the churches teaching and take a vow of celibacy, they are Mary's boys so-to-speak, and live the way Jesus lived on this earth, and walk in His footsteps. It is by their choice that they do this and they try to live a life of holiness. God bless you.

What scripture supports that Christ will reign on earth during the millennium and that there will be peace?
Q. What scripture specifically supports that the saints will rule with Christ on earth? Seems to me that God will devour the earth with fire while we are in heaven with him during the millennium. After that, the resurrection of the dead will take place and they will be judged and cast into the lake of fire with Satan. What scripture supports peacful reign on the earth itself?

A. It is in two parts. But it begins and ends ON earth. What you mention is after the millenium. 1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands;… [cont.]

A. The Romans did from the founding of the city of Rome in (I think 753 B.C. The current year is 2759 A.U.C. if I recall correctly). They also did it by who was Consul at the time ("In the second year of Scipio's Consulate") That's how most ancient civilizations did it, "The 4th year of the reign of Tutmose" or the "In the 6th year of the reign of Mursulis". This would be a lot like saying "The World Trade Center was attacked in the ninth month of the first year of Bush's Presedency" or "During the third year of the Lyndon Johnson Administration, Marines were landed at Da Nang in South Vietnam". Q. Do catholics really believe the infant is aware of what is going on and is able to accept Christ as Lord and Savior?

A. How did an infant like Jesus accept Judaism when he was circumcized as a baby? St. Paul wrote that baptism has replaced circumcision (Col 2:11-12), and in Judaism circumcision was performed primarily on infants. The Catholic Church teaches, "Born with a fallen human nature and tainted by original sin, children also have need of the new birth in Baptism to be freed from the power of darkness and brought into the realm of the freedom of the children of God, to which all men are called." Infant baptism is not a new thing. There are non-biblical documented sources starting in the second century telling of infant Baptism. There are even several passages in the Bible where whole households were baptized. This would include everyone who lived… [cont.]

How are his commitments to Christ better than Hillary's...or is there a comparison? It is just that when people make this kind of comment, they open themselves up. Christ favored the gospel of light. Does his light mean more light in you, or belief in blood for sin?
Q. I have had many tell me that the light that Christ promoted means believing in sacrifice for sin. Does that make sense to you, or does more light simply mean more light IN YOU for more intelligence and a more fulfilling life? More context is in my biography.
Asked by Lakely - Wed Jan 7 08:31:09 2009 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments

A. From what I can tell, Jesus was talking about unconditional love, and that's part of what "the light" is all about. I do believe that we find "the light" and the consciousness that goes with it within ourselves...but, at the very minimum, we have to come up with the willingness to love. Best wishes!

A. So, there is intelligent life out there. jesus pays homage to zeus, as does sos, sis, sous. paul was the first to write of jesus, and even said that jesus was revealed to him in a hallucination - revealed to him FIRST. paul says in Acts 17:18 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, for we are also his offspring. That poem is an ode to ZEUS by the ancient poets and paul here tells you EXACTLY who god is - ZEUS, and tells you that his movement is also the offspring of ZEUS!!! There's more, but I'm not writing a book here. LOL.

How different is the Community of Christ from LDS?
Q. What do you know about the Community of Christ (formerly Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints)? Are there any members here? What beliefs differ them from LDS?
Asked by Emmanuel - Tue Feb 3 16:35:26 2009 - - 10 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Originally, the Community of Christ (RDLS) believed that the succession of the Church presidency did not go from Joseph Smith to Brigham Young, as the LDS believe, but that it went from Joseph Smith to his son Joseph Smith III. Therefore, one of the tenets of the RDLS is that the prophet goes from father to son. Interesting side note (but I am admittedly biased) is that when a recent prophet of the C of C did not have any sons, they went away from that tenet that was the reason for their break off in the first place. LDS believe that the Book of Mormon is on level with the Bible as the word of God. CofC have moved away from that and just say that the Book of Mormon is a good book to learn about God. Neither LDS nor CofC practice… [cont.]
